About me
Tara Romney Barber is currently the Adoption and Clinical Programs Director at Children’s Service Society of Utah (CSS). She is passionate about helping children and families impacted by adoption, kinship- and foster-care discover their strengths and increase their resiliency. Her experience working with those impacted by trauma informs her work supporting all members of the adoption, foster, and kinship constellations. Additionally, Tara serves as an adjunct professor for the University of Utah’s College of Social Work and is a trainer for the nationally accredited, evidence-based Training for Adoption Competency (TAC) curriculum to help other therapists better meet the needs of adoptive, kinship, and foster families. She loves spending time with her family traveling and taking photos.
